Special Joint Society Meeting:

The Binghamton Chapter of ASQ is proud to announce this special, joint meeting with the Binghamton Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Like the ASQ in its professional certification programs, PMI is the leading, world wide organization that trains and certifies professionals to become proficient in program and project management.   PMI promotes Project Management principles and techniques with local businesses, university professional associations, and individuals.  They provide educational programs, both online and through our chapter meetings, to disseminate project management knowledge.

For more information on the Binghamton section of the Project Management Institute, check out their website at www.pmi-binghamton.org.  We look forward to this opportunity to share networking time with like-minded professionals, enjoying an excellent meal, reviewing the exciting technology of the Southern Tier at the TechWorks – Center for Technology and Innovation, and hearing about developments in software development and quality.

Program Overview:

“An Introduction to Agile With A Focus On Improving Quality” with Les Geer of International Business Machines.

Agile software development is a set of principles for software development in which requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams. It promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, and continuous improvement, and it encourages rapid and flexible response to change.

Networking and introduction to the TechWorks will begin at 5:30 pm. Dinner will be at approximately 6:00 pm with the program at 7:00 pm.

Please RSVP on this website Registration link.  Cost is $20 which includes dinner.  There is only a $5 venue cover charge if you wish to omit the dinner and attend only the networking and/or program segments.

Don’t miss this interesting program!

We encourage you to attend every professional development dinner meeting, plant tour or ASQ Binghamton sponsored event.

Common quality principles and practices apply to EVERY business and organization. Therefore, you can always learn something from one of our programs… even though the topic may be completely outside you normal discipline. Sharing information is important if the ASQ is truly going to achieve its goal of being “The Global Voice of Quality.”  Furthermore, we need YOUR thoughts and ideas related to the needs of both YOU and YOUR ORGANIZATION if we are to better meet those needs of a diverse community.

Please join us… and remember; you don’t have to be an ASQ member to attend any of our events. So bring a friend, your spouse, and/or work associate.  Although there is charge for each dinner meeting, there is only a $5 venue cover charge if you elect to NOT have dinner and just attend the networking session and/or program.

Come; experience the camaraderie of like-minded, quality professionals!
