Elmer Corbin, 2018 ASQ National Chairperson, announced the 2018 Lancaster Award. The Distinguished Service Medals were presented prior to the World Conference on Quality and Improvement in Seattle, WA during ASQ’s Annual Business Meeting on Sunday April 29, 2018.
Recipients are recognized for their innovative contributions and achievements in quality. The winner’s exemplary achievements are representative of the ideas and tools that make our world work better.
The Lancaster Medal was presented to Daniel Edward Sniezek in recognition of the outstanding contributions in initiating international member units globally; for serving as an exceptional coach, guide and mentor to the international students; and for serving ASQ and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in high-profiled positions.
Dan is an internationally recognized advisor and speaker on software quality, computerized reliability, systems engineering, systems safety, quality systems, and process improvement. He is an American Society for Quality Fellow, Past Regional ASQ Director, Past Chairman of the Binghamton, NY section of ASQ, and currently a member of the Binghamton ASQ Executive Committee.
